Janet Jackson, who earlier this year announced she's expecting her first child, is suffering from pregnancy complications. Janet, 50, who is married to Wissam Al Mana, 41, has been ordered by doctors to rest until the baby comes. A source revealed, "She is doing OK and resting until she is due for her baby."
The "All For You" singer hasn't made a single public appearance since the news of her first pregnancy broke. One month after postponing her Unbreakable world tour, the pop singer explained her decision to cancel her tour in a video for her fans.
"We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change," she said. "My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour. Please, if you can, try and understand that it's important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor's orders!"
"But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can," the entertainer continued.
Her brother Jermaine Jackson confirmed the news in an interview, admitting he was very excited for his sister to finally expand her family.
"She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict," he said.
It also sounds like he's super ready to take on the role of uncle — every mundane duty that it may entail. He's even ready to take on diapers!
"I tell her, 'If you need any parenting skills or any baby skills, let me know, because I'm the best diaper-changer there is on this planet, still to this day.'"
Jackson married millionaire Wissam in 2012 in a secret ceremony that the couple did not confirm for a year. The couple has been allegedly working with a fertility specialist for a while now and at the time she postponed her tour, was speculated to already be in her second trimester of pregnancy.
Here's to hoping the mama-to-be feels better soon!
